Baby Smiles!

So, Katherine learned how to smile! Not only can she smile, she smiles when we ask her too (which is rather unusual at this age)! She takes great delight in smiling over and over. Baby smiles are hard to capture, but you can see the delight and joy in her eyes!

5 weeks!

At 6 weeks, she weighs 9 lbs, exactly what Juliana weighed at the same age. She holds her own head up for extended periods of time. She also locks onto your face and tries to interact with you using her eyes. She smiled intentionally at Daddy for the first time on Saturday. Today (Tuesday) she smiled at me 3 times when I changed her diaper. Oh, and she hates dirty diapers. If she cries and it isn't time to eat, I check her pants!

A little concerned about how life is going!

Happy, go lucky little baby! Aunt Sarah Hartstrom gave her the cute outfit. It was perfect to have an additional warm outfit while we were camping.

Almost ready to smile or laugh!

At 6 weeks, she is holding up her own head very steadily for extended periods of time. She also locks onto your face and tries to interact with her eyes. This past weekend she gave Josh a very intentional smile. I got one on Sunday. Today (Tuesday), she gave me 3 smiles in a row when I changed her diaper! Oh, and she hates a dirty diaper. If she cries and it isn't time to eat, I check her pants!
