This spring semester in school, we are studying the body and how all the parts work together. To begin studying the body, one must begin with cells. For young elementary students, cells are a pretty complex concept! I found this project in a book that helped make the parts of a cell very memorable. Even Juliana knows the parts of a cell!

Each cookie "cell" had a nucleus, membrane, and mitochondria.
The kids decided these looked better than they tasted. The candies didn't bake so well!
