This weekend we brought home a new batch of chicks. Hopefully by late summer, we will start having some fresh eggs. And hopefully we can keep the preditors out this year! The children adore the chicks. I have to mandate "rest times" for the chicks or they would be loved to death! Since we are studying eggs, metamorphosis, and other forms of animal birth, having baby chicks in the house is perfect!
